Neighbour disputes

Neighbour disputes can be very distressing and unpleasant. They can develop over a variety of issues from your neighbours overgrown trees to boundary disputes but the most common complaints are about noisy neighbours.

Noisy neighbours - noise can vary from person to person and can take in to account someones music being too loud or the neighbours dog barking too much. If you have a problem then your local authority is the place to start as they deal with noisy neighbours complaints and will be able to inform you whether it is excessive.

Be prepared - the more evidence you collate the better - be prepared with dates and times that a disturbance has happened as this can be used to help you fight your case. Your neighbour may not realise that they are being a nuisance to you and sometimes just talking to them in a cool calm manner can resolve the issue.

What if your neighbours trees or hedge is overhanging into your garden and leaving you with all the mess? You can try chatting to your neighbour; they may be willing to cut back the trees or maybe more than happy for you to do it, just make sure you agree beforehand on the course of action.
