Holiday Advice

We all look forward to time away, but what happens if something goes wrong with the holiday that you book - whether it is a package or not?

If you have a holiday complaint and are wondering who is responsible when things go wrong and what can you do about it? What are your rights if you book independently? What can you claim for?

The way you buy a holiday can dramatically affect the legal rights and protection you have should something go wrong.

If you buy a package holiday you can take action against the tour operator that sold it to you if they make significant changes to the holiday before you leave or there are problems while you are on the holiday.

If you put together your own holiday which is classed as a package you do not have as many rights and it may be more difficult to make a claim as you may be having to chase a hotel owner based thousands of miles away for compensation or fighting against an airline whose liability can be restricted under EU Regulations.
