Land of Leather goes into administration

Following Land Of Leather's announcement that they have gone into administration, Espe Fuentes, lawyer, Which? Legal Service says:

"People who visited Land of Leather to purchase furniture will be disappointed to hear that they have gone into administration.  Although the administrators aim to sell the business as a going concern, customers will be worried about their deposits and furniture orders.

"The administrators plan to honour all deposits made and stores are open for business as usual.  However, should customers run into problems with their deposits, those who have paid their deposit by credit card or visa debit card will not lose them. Credit card holders will need to contact their card company and make a claim under Section 75 of the consumer credit act.  For Visa Debit payments, consumers are advised to contact their issuing bank and request a chargeback.

"Any customer who has a credit agreement to purchase Land of Leather furniture should continue to make payments under their agreements as this is a separate contract.

"Concerned customers can call the Land of Leather dedicated hotline 0800 496 0868".
